New 4K interface being tested on Xbox Series X

An increase in resolution will improve the Xbox Series X interface on 4K Ultra HD TVs.

Privileged Xbox Insiders users of the Alpha Ring can now test a new 4K interface on their Xbox Series X console.

From 1080p to 2160p on Xbox Series X

Home, Guide and other sections of the user interface are displayed at a higher native resolution, in Ultra HD 4K, allowing for increased detail and better readability on suitable televisions. As a reminder, the Xbox Series X interface is currently displayed in 1080p, in order to be compatible with a maximum of televisions installed in homes.

What about the Xbox Series S?

Following this test, the new interface should be deployed for all Xbox Series X users. Note that Microsoft does not specify whether HDR processing will be involved, or whether this improvement in resolution will also occur on Xbox Series S .
