Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Edition McLaren, new wireless headphones

Klipsch presents the Formula 1 Edition of its first True Wireless Active Noise Canceling (ANC) earphones.

Partner of the Formula 1 McLaren team which employs the two drivers Lando Norris (see photo below) and Daniel Ricciardo, Klipsch presents the T5 II True Wireless ANC Edition McLaren headphones. They stand out from the T5 II True Wireless ANC presented in our columns at the beginning of August by a touch of papaya color characteristic of the McLaren team, real carbon fiber and by an outer shell whose finish mimics the tread of the tires of Formula 1.

NuCurrent technology embedded

Another difference between the two references, we find here within the transport case and recharges the NuCurrent wireless technology which promises a charging time twice as fast as all other similar products on the market. The rest of the equipment is unchanged. Of course, the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless Edition McLaren headphones still feature oval and non-round tips like most in-ear headphones. This is a constant at Klipsch who has extensively studied the human ear canal to fashion ear tips that adapt easily and provide natural insulation from the environment.

Bluetooth 5.0 and 24 hours of total autonomy

The network streaming function is provided by the Bluetooth 5.0 APT-X function and the autonomy of the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC McLaren Edition displays 7 hours, 5 hours with noise reduction engaged. As Klipsch announces a respective autonomy of 21 hours and 15 hours for the whole, we deduce that the storage / transport case provides two full recharges, respectively of 7 hours and 5 hours approximately. The charger provides Qi wireless charging, and the headphones can also be charged via USB-C (cable included).

Zippo charging / storage / transport box

To come back to the design of the storage / charging box, know that it really opens like a Zippo lighter, with a swaying gesture of the thumb. In terms of acoustics, the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC Edition McLaren benefit from a new speaker with a new extremely thin diaphragm and 5.8 mm in diameter to improve sound clarity over the entire frequency response.

IPX4 certification, Transparency mode and advanced gesture control

Other features of the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC Edition McLaren include the IPx4 certification to resist sweat, water and dust, plus compatibility with the main voice assistants available on the market smartphones and a Transparency mode to perceive surrounding noises and avoid dangers. Finally, we should also note an active noise reduction available for calls, via the six integrated microphones, based on cVc (Clear Voice Chat) technology, to optimize the perception of voices.

They also have an artificial intelligence system that offers various functionalities including advanced gesture control, for example allowing them to accept phone calls by nodding their heads.

Dirac HD technology on board

Another advantage of the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC Edition McLaren headphones, the famous Dirac HD technology on board to magnify the sound.
