Samsung's new Galaxy Z Flip3 5G foldable screen smartphone, made of aluminum and Gorilla Glass Victus for the screens, was unveiled a few moments ago, and here's what we know.
What about the Galaxy Z Flip 2?
In the first place, if there was no Galaxy Z Flip2, it is not an oversight by Samsung but a desire to standardize its range of foldable smartphones by aligning it with the Z Fold line which is already in its third iteration.

At the heart of this new model is an Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor (1 x 2.84 GHz Kryo 680 + 3 x 2.40 GHz Kryo Gold + 4 x 1.8 GHz Kryo 680) engraved in 5 nm, supported by an Adreno 660 graphics chip, 8 GB of Ram and 128 GB or 256 GB of flash memory (still no licro-SD memory card reader to expand the memory). There is also a 3,300 mAh battery, fast charging (15 W) and energy sharing functions and wireless charging compatibility (10 W).

Side cameras, the Galaxy Flip 3 does not move too much compared to its predecessor and has two sensors on the back: 12 Mpxls wide-angle (f / 2.2, 27 mm, photosite 1.12 µm, stabilized) and 12 Mpxls ultra-wide-angle (f / 1.8, 12 mm, photosite 1.4 µm, Dual Pixel AF, stabilized), plus a 10 Mpxls wide-angle sensor (f / 2.4, 26 mm, photosite 1.22 µm, PDAF, HDR) for the selfie camera. The latter fits into a perforation at the top of the screen, with a thinner border than before. The Flex Mode makes its appearance, it allows to display the content captured by the rear camera on the upper part of the screen while the lower part is dedicated to the control of the smartphone and the functionality (see photo below) .
For video, recording is provided up to 2160p at 60fps or 1080p at 240fps, or 720p at 960fps. For its part, the selfie camera provides 2160p capture at 30 frames per second.

Let us not forget to recall the practical side of the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which retains an extremely small footprint with the shape of a square when folded. This version "3" however reduces the size of the border around the screen, just to magnify it. This does not change in size (Amoled 6.7 '' for 17 cm at 22: 9 ratio, 2,636 x 1,080 pixels, 425 ppi and HDR10 + compatibility) but offers a novelty: the 120 hertz refresh rate. The external screen (1.9 '' by 4.8 cm) is also of Oled obedience and displays a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels (302 ppi).

On the connectivity side there is a USB-C port, a fingerprint sensor (on the side), a GPS, and Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility. Finally, it is the Android 11 operating system that is in operation and IPX8 certification (guaranteed waterproofing at a depth of 2 m for 30 minutes) is on the menu. The colors expected for this new model are black, green, cream, and purple. The manufacturer's site offers exclusive gray, white and pink colors.
Release scheduled for late August. Indicative price: € 1,059 for the 128 GB version, € 1,109 for the 256 gigabytes version.
