Sony takes the opportunity to announce a list of games that will support the VRR functionality in the coming weeks (update required for each title), and specifies that this list is far, very far, from being exhaustive. The Japanese firm advises to remain attentive to the next communications of the publishers to know the games which will ensure the support of the VRR.
VRR, the first compatible games
• Astro's Playroom
• Call of Duty: Vanguard
• Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
• Destiny 2
• Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
• DIRT 5
• Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered
• Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
• Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
• Resident Evil Village
• Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
• Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
• Tribes of Midgard
PS5 and VRR, a plus even for games that don't support it…
And as in previous speeches on the subject, Sony reminds that VRR can also be applied to games that do not support it with the only risk of improving game performance. If this is the case and you experience display issues, simply return to the console menu and turn off the VRR setting. Nothing's easier.
Of course, to take advantage of this new feature, the TV to which the PS5 is connected must also be VRR compatible.
