Rare were the artists who, during the 80s, delivered live performances as electrifying as Prince. It is this magic that Prince and The Revolution - Live shows, capturing a concert given on March 30, 1985 in Syracuse, at New York's Carrier Dome, in the middle of the tour of the cult album Purple Rain. At the time, the concert was broadcast live by satellite for European audiences, before being released on VHS and then laserdisc, earning a Grammy Award nomination.

Remaining in Prince's archives since then, Prince and the Revolution - Live will be released for the first time on Blu-Ray on June 3, 2022. On this occasion, the image has been fully restored, while the concert has been remixed from the original master tapes by Chris James. Enough to offer Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital 5.1 and stereo tracks that beat for this 2-hour concert, which sees the group string together the greatest hits from the 1999 and Purple Rain albums, including a nearly 19-minute version of the song Purple Rain .
Prince and The Revolution - Live will be available as a triple vinyl album, as well as a 2CD+Blu-Ray version on June 3.
