Sonus faber Omni, Hi-Fi multiroom connected speaker

The famous Italian loudspeaker manufacturer Sonus faber offers a new connected loudspeaker with a remarkable design in precious wood, close to Riva boats.

The Omnia stereo speaker by Sonus Faber seduces at first glance with its luxurious appearance, all in solid walnut wood, a testament to the talent of Italian craftsmanship.

Then comes audio quality ensured by a four-way system made up of seven loudspeakers: two 19 mm silk dome tweeters and magnet motor with Neodymium lug structure, two 7.6 cm paper pulp cone midrange drivers , two 4.45 cm non-pressed cellulose pulp inverted dome wideband plus a 16.5 cm aluminum cone long-throw diaphragm woofer.

Sonus faber Omnia, Crescendo and Senso technologies

Coming back to broadband speakers, they are the basis of the exclusive Crescendo technology. Placed at both ends of the Omnia loudspeaker, they use the Room Placement function to use the reflections of the sound waves on the walls to recreate an enveloping audio environment, and widen the sound stage like a live show.

Another development specific to the Sonus faber Omnia is the Senso touch interface located on the upper, flat surface of the speaker. This, accompanied by specific lighting associated with different sources and types of streaming, ensures direct control of the Omnia, even if certain commands are only accessible through the remote control or paired mobile devices.

To be complete on the audio side of the Sonus faber Omnia, you can add Class D amplification with a total power of 490 W, and Hi-Res Audio certification.

Sonus faber Omnia, network and wired

Wireless network connectivity uses a Wi-Fi ac, AirPlay 2, Chromecast or Bluetooth APT-X HD connection. For wired enthusiasts, an Ethernet port is also present. To be complete on the connection, there is also an HDMI ARC input to recover the sound of a television, and a mini-Din input and its RCA adapter (with GND socket). Also, this input can be used as a Phono input (the Omnia speaker incorporates a Phono stage).

In terms of streaming, the Sonus faber Omnia provides direct access to Tidal, Sopity (Spotify Connect) and is Roon certified. Precision, the multiroom ets also part via the AirPlay 2 and Chromecast (integrated) features.

A word from Livio Cucuzza, Chief Designer Sonus faber

“For me, Omnia was a complete journey exploring the vast history of Sonus faber, it was designed at two speeds, said Livio Cucuzza, Chief Design Officer of Sonus faber. With every project my job is to tell the brand story and with Omnia the process was just faster and deeper. In its new, more accessible category, Omnia will offer a taste of Sonus faber's 40-year history to thousands of new users, which is challenging and rewarding.”
