Klipsch The Fives McLaren Racing edition, new active bookshelf speakers and Bluetooth

After the True Wireless T5 II headphones, the American manufacturer is offering its Klipsch The Fives active speakers in a McLaren edition.

The McLaren Edition Klipsch The Fives differ from the Klipsch The Fives only in cosmetic terms. We note for example the presence of the emblematic McLaren logo on the loudspeaker cover but also on the Tractrix Horn of the tweeter, a matte black paint applied by hand, feet that evoke the tread of intermediate F1 races and a panel entrances/exits in the colors of the McLaren team laser engraved.

Klipsch The Fives McLaren edition, modern technologies

As for the rest, nothing changes and the Klipsch The Fives McLaren Edition speakers incorporate the latest technologies to meet new consumer habits and deliver optimal sound quality. This is the case with Bluetooth 4.0 certification to enjoy music files stored on an appropriate device via streaming: smartphone, tablet, game console, computer…

Klipsch The Fives McLaren edition, rich connectivity

Namely, in addition to streaming, the Klipsch The Fives McLaren edition allows you to enjoy a sound source connected to its 3.5 mm mini-Jack auxiliary input or to the RCA/Phono stereo input with integrated pre-amplifier for plug in a turntable. We still notice an asynchronous USB-B port and an optical input, enough to finally connect a good number of audio sources plus a Subwoofer output to reinforce the impact of low frequencies if necessary. But the most surprising thing about the Klipsch The Fives McLaren edition is the presence of an HDMI ARC input to easily retrieve the sound signal from a TV (see third photo below). Simply connect them to the TV to multiply the sound show, like that which a sound bar can offer.

Other technical specifications…

Technically, each Klipsch The Fives McLaren edition loudspeaker is built around a 25.4 mm tweeter with a wide-spread Tractrix Horn and a 11.4 cm composite fiber cone woofer, the all associated with Class D amplification delivering a total peak power of 160 W (2 x 80 W) and loaded with bass-reflex.

Namely, the Klipsch The Fives McLaren edition are configured in bi-amplification for improved sound quality. Last precision, for a flawless sound reproduction and to easily exploit Hi-Res Audio files, a DAC (digital-analog converter) 192 kHz/24 bits is present.
