Brad Pitt goes into survival mode in the first trailer for Heart of the Beast, the new film from David Ayer, director of Fury.
Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first images of this adventure thriller starring Brad Pitt and a dog, and the result promises a particularly enjoyable, spectacular, and solidly directed survival film (if you can stomach the dog's post-traumatic stress!). Not only does Brad Pitt appear magnetic, but his canine partner also seems to steal the show. As for the landscapes, they look simply magnificent. The official synopsis states that after a terrible plane crash, James Belmont, a special forces officer played by Brad Pitt, and Odin, his German Shepherd trained for combat, find themselves stranded in the Alaskan wilderness. Together, they must fight a brutal battle for survival against the elements. This intense adventure thriller explores the unbreakable bond between a man and his best friend as they face their greatest challenge. JK Simmons and Anna Lambe round out the cast. The film has reportedly undergone several test screenings in recent months, which were well-received. Running for 100 minutes, the project is described as a taut and gritty survival thriller, in the vein of Joe Carnahan's *The Grey*. David Ayer, Brad Pitt, Olivia Hamilton, and Marty Bowen are producing the film, while Damien Chazelle is serving as executive producer. The screenplay is by Cameron Alexander. *Heart of the Beast* will be released in theaters on September 23, 2026 in France and on September 25 in the United States.
