SVS 3000 Micro RlEvolution subwoofers: 1200 W in a cube
11.06.2026 • 14h05
After setting new standards with the 5000 RlEvolution series, the American specialist SVS is reinventing its ultra-compact subwoofer with the new SVS 3000 Micro RlEvolution, which we missed during its presentation last month. We're making up for it now…
SVS continues to renew its product line. Leveraging the technological advancements developed during the design of its flagship 17-Ultra series, the brand is shaking up the ultra-compact subwoofer market. The challenge? To offer the precision and bass extension of much larger models, without sacrificing aesthetics and integration into living spaces. This sealed subwoofer replaces the renowned 3000 Micro, promising ten times the power of 1200W, brand-new drivers, and a latest-generation DSP, all packed into a cabinet measuring just 28 centimeters on each side. The SVS 3000 Micro RIEvolution features dual 23cm drivers in opposition configuration. To generate deep bass without causing chassis vibrations, the SVS 3000 Micro RIEvolution relies on a formidable acoustic design. It features two new 9" (23 cm) long-excursion active drivers. These are mounted laterally in perfect opposition (back-to-back) and wired in parallel within a sealed enclosure. This design eliminates unwanted mechanical forces, guaranteeing total inertia of the subwoofer while ensuring impressive bass extension down to 20 hertz. SVS 3000 Micro RlEvolution: 1200W Class D amplification. The amplification section has undergone a major overhaul. The subwoofer boasts impressive dynamic power with nearly 50% more power than the previous generation. The SVS RlEvolution amplifier, combining the efficiency of Class D and powerful discrete MOSFET transistors (60 A/200 V), now delivers 1200 W continuous power, with peaks exceeding 4 000 watts. Harmonic distortion remains negligible (less than 0.05% at full power) and the signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 120 dB thanks to audiophile-grade DACs. SVS 3000 Micro Evolution: Powerful DSP and Auto EQ Calibration. The true brain of the system, the onboard Analog Devices DSP processor (295 MHz) offers five times the computing power of previous generations. It analyzes the excursion of the diaphragms thousands of times per second to optimize performance and protect the components. Of course, the subwoofer is fully controlled from the listening position via the free SVS Subwoofer Control app (Bluetooth). The user has six parametric equalizers, listening modes, and fine-tuning of the phase. Most importantly, as announced in our pages yesterday, this model benefits from a Free software update to integrate the renowned SVS Auto EQ acoustic correction function (see our news item SVS Auto EQ Update: Custom acoustic calibration for SVS RIEvolution subwoofers), allowing you to calibrate the subwoofer to the room dimensions via your smartphone's microphone. SVS 3000 Micro RlEvolution: Balanced connectivity and premium finishes. Connectivity is top-notch with a standard RCA input complemented by a balanced XLR input, ideal for high-end installations requiring long cable runs without signal degradation. A USB port is also included to power an optional wireless adapter. Available immediately in Piano Gloss Black and Piano Gloss White finishes. Suggested retail price: €1,299.
