Apple Glasses: Wearable AI arrives in 2027

New developments regarding the design (or rather designs) of Apple's smart glasses, which could be unveiled as early as the end of 2026.
According to the latest leaks gathered by the well-informed Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is preparing to enter the AI wearables market, with products like the camera-equipped AirPods already mentioned in our pages, and as its flagship product, smart glasses. Apple glasses, you've got the Cook-Cook look! Apple is currently testing several models of these AI glasses, which aim for a high-end design to stand out from the competition. The brand notably wants to use transparent acetate, a more durable and "luxurious" material than the basic plastic used by most existing models. Four design options are being considered, including a rectangular frame like Ray-Ban, a thinner version like Tim Cook's glasses, a wide oval model, and a smaller oval/circular option. The manufacturer's goal: to produce models instantly identifiable as Apple products. Towards an augmented world: In terms of functionality, the glasses are closely linked to the iPhone and Siri: via their cameras, they capture the environment around the user for analysis by Apple Intelligence. Apple plans a launch next year, with a presentation that could take place as early as the end of 2026.
