The iPhone Ultra, not even released yet, is already crushing the competition…

While the very first foldable iPhone doesn't officially exist yet, it's already estimated that its arrival will drastically disrupt the hierarchy in this relatively young market.
No official announcement, but a ton of credible rumors: the iPhone Ultra, Apple's first foldable screen model, will go on sale before the end of the year. And even though it doesn't exist yet, analysts believe it has already "bent the game" in the foldable smartphone sector. Analysts predict a tidal wave: Apple to lead the foldable market by 2026. Counterpoint Research predicts that the iPhone Ultra will lead the US market by 2026, capturing 46% of the market and relegating the current leader, Samsung, to 29%. For comparison, in 2025, Samsung held 51% of the market, followed by Motorola (44%) and Google (5%). Incidentally, Counterpoint Research estimates that the foldable market will jump 48% in 2026 compared to 2025, mainly thanks to Apple's entry into the market. All this, of course, is contingent on the device not being delayed until 2027…
