New Siri: Apple Intelligence delayed to iOS 27, release expected late 2026

Eagerly awaited after numerous delays, the new Siri assistant, boosted by Apple Intelligence, may finally arrive only at the end of the year with iOS 27.
Announced at WWDC in June 2024 but delayed several times since then, the new, smarter Siri assistant, integrated with Apple Intelligence, is still awaited. A redesigned Siri assistant, ChatGPT-style, but delayed until next fall. Rumors suggested that some new features would be gradually integrated into the iPhone with iOS 26 updates, but it seems we won't get our hands on this new Siri until next fall with iOS 27. Indeed, the latest iOS 26.5 beta version recently provided to developers includes no new Apple Intelligence features, even though they were present in the internal Apple version, so probably for testing purposes only. One might hope that a new beta version would reintegrate them, but given that WWDC in June and the presentation of iOS 27 are fast approaching, it's not worth counting on it. According to the latest news, this new Siri will be a fully-fledged assistant, like ChatGPT or Gemini, and will have its own dedicated application.
