“HomePad”: Apple’s smart home display nearing completion

Technical details on Apple's brand new Smart Home connected display, known as the HomePad, which is expected to be released this year after a slight delay.
Rumors have been circulating for some time that Apple is preparing new connected devices for the home, starting with a screen at the end of a robotic arm slated for 2026/2027, and its less expensive sibling in the form of a simple connected screen on a fixed base, referred to internally as the "HomePad." Magnetic design and a heavy dose of Apple Intelligence: According to the latest information gathered by "leaker" Kosutami, the device will feature a MagSafe-type magnetic system for wall mounting, likely similar to Displate posters. He adds that the device can be connected to a smart doorbell, among other things, and that it will rely heavily on Apple Intelligence. Adopting the form of a 7-inch (17.78 cm) square screen, similar to an iPad, equipped with a front-facing camera and mounted on a semi-spherical base, the device is intended to centralize connected home products and also allows users to listen to music and podcasts, access news, and make video calls. Note that the "HomePad" product is apparently ready, but since it depends on the features of the new Siri, it will be necessary to wait until the latter is also ready, presumably next September.
