Record battery life for the foldable iPhone?

Expected to be released this fall, the first iPhone with a foldable screen should leave its (current) best competitors in the dust in terms of battery life.
Corroborating previous rumors from last year, the Chinese leaker Instant Digital claims that the battery of the very first foldable iPhone (expected to arrive this September) will have a substantial storage capacity. This plausible battery capacity for the foldable iPhone, compared to that of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, is 5,500 mAh, right in the 5,400 mAh to 5,800 mAh range tested last year by Apple. For reference, the iPhone 17 Pro Max currently has the largest battery at 5,088 mAh. The comparison isn't entirely fair, of course, since a foldable model is more power-hungry. Therefore, one must look at equivalent models to realize that, yes, this figure is indeed high. Indeed, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold boasts a 5,015 mAh battery compared to 4,400 mAh for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, rumors suggest higher capacities for the iterations that will be released at the same time as the iPhone, namely 5,000 mAh for the Z Fold 8 and 6,000 mAh for the 11 Pro Fold.
