New AirTag, more range, less noise
29.01.2026 • 11h50
Apple has just launched the new version of its AirTag tracker, detectable from a greater distance and equipped with a more powerful speaker.
Launched in 2021, the Apple AirTag is a small Bluetooth puck that, once paired with an iPhone or iPad, can attach to anything you absolutely don't want to lose: keys, USB drives, pets, etc. The item then becomes locatable and sends a notification to your iPhone if it's ever separated. The new AirTag 2026, the same but better. The recently launched new version looks almost identical to its predecessor, except for a slightly higher weight. The real difference, however, is inside, with a new Ultra Wideband chip and an improved Bluetooth chip, allowing it to be located up to 50% farther away than before with the Precise Location feature. Also noteworthy is the 50% louder speaker, for better audibility and thus potentially even greater search range. Otherwise, it offers the same battery life of "more than a year" with a CR2032 coin cell battery, and IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. Available immediately. Suggested retail prices: €35 each or €119 for a pack of four.
