CES 26 > Google Photos arrives on Samsung Smart TVs

For owners of a recent Samsung Smart TV, it will finally be possible to fully enjoy their photos on the big screen with the arrival of the Google Photos app on connected TVs.
In March 2026, the new Samsung Smart TVs, as well as some models from previous years (without further details at the time of writing), will be the first to host the Google Photos app, allowing users to view and manage images stored by the Google Photos service. This is a welcome development, considering that even Google TVs don't yet offer a dedicated app, apart from an integrated solution with limited functionality. Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos and Google One, explains: "Google Photos is a place where people keep their photos and videos, helping them organize them and bring their memories to life." We are thrilled to bring Google Photos to Samsung TVs, helping users enjoy their favorite photos on a bigger screen and reconnect with their memories in new ways.” Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of Customer Experience Team, Visual Display (VD) Division, Samsung Electronics, said, “Samsung TVs have always brought people together, and bringing Google Photos to the big screen makes that experience even more personal. Through this partnership, we are helping users rediscover and relive precious moments by highlighting the stories behind their photos, right from the comfort of their living room.” Google Photos will arrive on Samsung 2026 TVs in March, as well as older models via a Tizen OS update. Other manufacturers will welcome the application in the following months.
