CES 26 > Samsung LS50H and LS70H: designer wireless speakers with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth by Erwan Bouroullec

Following the Samsung Music Frame wireless speaker presented at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, the Korean manufacturer will unveil the Samsung LS50H and Samsung LS70H Wi-Fi/Bluetooth speakers at CES 2026, also known as Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 respectively.
Following the same principle as the Samsung Music Frame speakers, the Samsung LS50H and LS70H, featuring Dot Design, are as much decorative objects as they are speakers. Proof of this lies in the fact that they were designed by the renowned designer Erwan Bouroullec, who also worked on the iconic Samsung The Serif television with his brother Ronan. The Samsung LS50H, also a work of art. This speaker boasts a unique shape, reminiscent of a miniature carriage gate, with a single-piece front panel. The rounded top forms a slightly concave, embossed circle with an opening in the center to diffuse the sound from the hidden woofer. In terms of sound design, it's also worth noting the presence of two waveguides radiating from the base of the speaker for wide and even sound dispersion from their respective tweeters.

Samsung LS50H, main features ££££

In terms of features, the Samsung LS50H speaker offers most of the same as the Music Frame, namely Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Chromecast (integrated), and AirPlay 2 compatibility. SmartThings, Hey Google, and Alexa are also supported. The same goes for Tidal Connect, Amazon Music, and Spotify Connect. Finally, it's Roon Ready. Interestingly, while the Samsung LS50H plays 44.1 kHz/16-bit signals, it can handle 96 kHz/24-bit signals if the files come from a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Samsung LS70H, presentation of form and function ££££

The Samsung LS70H model is more classic in its shape compared to the LS50H, even though the front panel features the slightly concave, embossed circle, an illustration of the Dot Design. In terms of features, the Samsung LS70H speaker (see photo below) naturally benefits from all the specifications of the LS50H, with a few major changes, the first of which is Hi-Res Audio certification up to 96 kHz/24 bits thanks to the presence of a super tweeter. The LS70H's acoustic package is significantly different and of higher quality than that of the LS50H, with a total of four drivers: two passive radiators on the right and left sides of the speaker, a super tweeter at the top, and a woofer at the front. Combined with Dolby Atmos and Eclipsa Audio compatibility, this configuration allows for the reproduction of 3D audio surround sound. Samsung LS50H and Samsung LS70H, built-in Q-Symphony technology. Finally, the Samsung LS50H and Samsung LS70H feature Q-Symphony technology. This is interesting when you also learn that Samsung's 2026 TVs will be able to handle up to five wireless speakers (Samsung LS50H and Samsung LS70H or Samsung Music Frame), compared to three in 2025 and two in 2024. Similarly, all or some of these speakers can be placed almost anywhere; the Q-Symphony technology will automatically identify the speakers' location in the room and their sound dispersion angle to perform the appropriate audio processing if necessary, ensuring the best audio quality at the listening position. Release date and price are still unknown. More details in a few weeks at CES 26.
