Hugh Jackman in a whodunit with sheep: Kamoulox and trailer

Who killed Hugh Jackman the shepherd? It's up to the sheep to investigate! And we can't wait.
Sometimes in life, there are silly things that feel good and that you have to know how to seize. Judging by its trailer, the film The Sheep Detectives seems to fall perfectly into this category. Based on the novel Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann, it's the latest co-production from the duo Lord and Miller, and it boasts an absolutely ridiculous cast (that's obviously a compliment). A whodunit that will drive you crazy. Directed by Kyle Balda (director of the Minions films, among others) and written by Craig Mazin (The Last of Us), The Sheep Detectives follows a group of sheep who decide to investigate the death of their shepherd (Hugh Jackman). A truly breathtaking cast! To bring this unique whodunit to life, the original English voice cast is, in part, as follows: Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O'Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, and Rhys Darby. A great cast obviously isn't everything (as we saw in the mediocre Wake Up Dead Man, for example…), but we want to believe in it. The release in English-speaking countries is scheduled for May 8, 2026, while the theatrical or streaming release in France is yet to be determined.
