Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 11 are the two new connected touchscreens in Amazon's Echo range, displaying respectively an 8" (20.32 cm) diagonal image with a resolution of 1,340 x 800 pixels, and an 11" (27.94 cm) diagonal image with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels.

These devices are based on the AZ3 Pro processor and Amazon's new Omnisense platform, combining information collected by the camera, microphones, Wi-Fi radar (tri-band Wi-Fi 6 compatibility), accelerometer and other sensors to even better understand the environment and therefore your requests via the Alexa assistant. Note that Alexa+ is planned via a later [abc]Firmware[/abc] update.

On the technical side, the screens are produced in such a way as to reduce the lamination layers and maximize the viewing angle. The result is improved visual quality, with better clarity, both in bright and dimly lit rooms. There is a 13 MP camera for video calls, as well as a new audio architecture: two new front-firing full-range speakers combined with a 71 millimeter [abc]woofer[/abc] . Spatial Audio compatibility is on the program, for simulated 3D sound via two channels on the Echo Show 8, three channels on the Echo Show 11. Namely, the latter also integrates a microphone for automatic sound calibration and optimized audio rendering. It is also worth mentioning Zigbee, Matter and Thread compatibility.
