Tim Cook kisses Pikachu

When Apple's president visits Japan, it's impossible not to give a warm hug to one of the archipelago's most popular figures.

At the end of September, Apple president Tim Cook went to Japan specifically to kiss the most famous Pokémon, namely Pikachu, or rather, an underpaid Japanese man dressed as Pikachu. Joking aside, even if Cook did meet Pikachu, he came to the archipelago for a completely different reason.

Reopening of the first Apple Store outside the United States££££ He inaugurated the reopening of the Ginza Apple Store in Tokyo, the very first Apple store opened in the world, outside the United States, in 2003. For the record, this Apple Store had to close in 2022 following the renovation of the building in which it was located.

The store has been improved, including a stand for picking up online orders, a Genius Bar, a demonstration area for the Apple Vision Pro, and a space for Today at Apple sessions. The reopening took place on September 26th at 10 a.m., and Tim Cook was there.
