iPhone 17 Air, a success for the new kid?

Taiwanese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already gotten his hands on the first reservation figures for the new iPhone 17, and demand is already apparently stronger than for the iPhone 16 at the same time last year.

iPhone 17 series, production figures up significantly££££ Reflecting this success, the production figures for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max for the third quarter are on average 25% higher than those of the iPhone 16. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is the most popular of the three with production 60% higher than that of the 16 Pro Max.

iPhone 17 Air series, the store experience is essential?££££ Without any comparison to 2024, estimating the success of the iPhone Air is more difficult to assess. According to Kuo, while this new ultra-thin model "doesn't look attractive on paper," the in-store experience could convince consumers. Kuo said that production of the iPhone Air is expected to be three times that of the iPhone 16 Plus, although the comparison is not entirely relevant given the latter model's limited success.
