Smart glasses equipped with cameras are touted as the must-have product of tomorrow. Meta, already the creator of a few models, is investing billions in this hardware and is also preparing a version with augmented reality for 2027.

And even if Apple is apparently preparing its own version, the company could not participate solely in the binocular race and attack the field of wearable AI from another angle, that of AirPods. This is in any case what Bloomberg's Mark Gurman predicts, often credible thanks to his sources within Apple. According to him, the brand's audio earphones will be at the center of the manufacturer's strategy for wearable gadgets powered by artificial intelligence. An opinion corroborated by previous rumors that AirPods will soon be equipped with cameras and supported by AI algorithms to analyze and even film the environment discreetly, the same features as the smart glasses currently available from competitors.
Such a product would naturally need to work in tandem with an iPhone, but would have the advantage of the discretion that connected glasses still lack.
