Three billion is the number of iPhones sold since the launch of the first of these devices in 2007. A figure released by the company's CEO, Tim Cook, during the last quarterly results announcement.

In detail, it took nine years to reach the first billion in 2016, then another nine years to add two more billion, showing the growing growth and interest in this device that literally launched the smartphone market as we know it today.
In passing, Apple tells us that in the second quarter of 2025, the iPhone brought in $44.6 billion, 13% better than the same period last year, and almost half of Apple's total revenue for these three months.
