Km5 Lightwear Headphones Hp1, the return of the Walkman?

A retro-looking alternative to increasingly enveloping and ostentatious headphones.

Over-ear headphones have many qualities, but some might criticize them for a lack of discretion and questionable comfort when temperatures rise. In response to these criticisms, the Japanese brand Km5 offers a headset inspired by the Sony Walkman of yesteryear.

The alliance of retro and techno££££

Designed in collaboration with the bPr BEAMS design office, the Km5 Lightwear Headphones Hp1 stands out for its lightness (103 g) and its reduced volume (see photo). The old-fashioned look - stainless steel headband and compact earphones - blends with today's technologies, with small square boxes supporting the speakers and each containing a 120mah battery for 24 hours of autonomy.

Bluetooth 5.4 headphones, the Hp1 can also be used in wired mode (USB-C). It is compatible with SBC, AAC, and LE codecs. It features 40mm drivers and active noise reduction technology. Finally, the earpads are interchangeable and come in several color options. Available at a recommended retail price of €190.
