Apple has been working on this for over ten years: an all-glass iPhone for a seamless feel, with a screen that extends in all directions, even covering the entire surface of the device, including the back and sides.
20 years, it's worth celebrating££££
After a recently granted patent, it's Bloomberg's Mark Gurman's turn to add fuel to the fire, claiming that such a device could arrive for the iPhone's 20th anniversary, in 2027 with the iPhone 19. This model will, however, be less technically ambitious than previously described, it will be content with a curved design, with a majority of glass and a screen without perforations.
Corroborating the existence of this project, previous rumors mentioned an iPhone with a camera hidden under the screen (UPC, or Under Panel Screen) for 2027, as well as a borderless screen curving on the side of the device, a bit like certain models from Samsung or Vivo. In short, Apple wants to mark the occasion with a notable design for the 20th anniversary of its flagship device.
