Game of Thrones: the spin-off Knight of the Seven Kingdoms at the end of 2025

We have a slightly more precise idea of when the next spin-off of the series set 100 years before Game of Thrones will arrive.

After House of the Dragons, several series derived from Game of Thrones are in development. We learn that the next one we should enjoy will be A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: the Hedge Knight.

On the occasion of the announcement of its latest quarterly results, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, revealed the release window for the series on the Max platform, without giving a precise date: “George RR Martin is in pre-production for the new spin off, entitled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which will be broadcast at the end of 2025 on Max", he declared.

Already three seasons in sight££££

A little reminder of the official pitch: "A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes traveled Westeros... A naive but courageous young knight, Ser Duncan the Great, and his little squire, Egg. Set in a time when the Targaryen lineage still reigns on the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon is still remembered, great destinies, powerful enemies, and dangerous exploits await these unlikely and incomparable friends.

The series is based on three short stories by George RR Martin, released over the space of ten years: The Knight Errant (1998), The Liege Sword (2003) and The Dragon's Egg (2010). The first season will adapt the first book, but Martin said in 2023 it is expected to span six episodes. Two additional seasons should cover the following works. Source: Deadline
