Sony HT-S2000, 3.1 Dolby Atmos and DTS:X soundbar

The Japanese manufacturer announced a few hours ago its new 3.1 Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatible soundbar, the Sony HT-S2000.

A fully integrated model, the Sony HT-S2000 can however be combined with a pair of Sony SA-RS3S wireless surround speakers and a Sony SA-SW5 or Sony SA-SW3 subwoofer (see photo below). below), in order to offer a significantly more advanced sound show, to take full advantage of a Home Cinema session for example.

This possibility of evolution is welcome with regard to the pedigree of the Sony HT-S2000. Model 3.1, it embeds Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoders for the best multi-channel sound from Blu-Ray or 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray.

Similarly, S-Force Pro Front Surround technology recreates a virtual surround system from a simple 3.1 sound bar, while the exclusive Vertical Surround Engine process recreates the height dimension of Dolby Atmos and/or DTS:X soundtracks. To be complete on the audio processing, it should also be pointed out that the Upmix Surround 3D also works from a simple stereo signal. Used via a Bluetooth source, it allows the music to perfectly fill the listening room. Finally, we note the exclusive DSEE function to significantly improve the sound reproduction, especially at the top of the sound spectrum.
