125 Netflix games in development, soon on the big screen via Cloud?

40 new mobile games will be released on Netflix this year, and the platform is already looking into the technology to distribute them on larger screens.

At the end of 2021, the Netflix streaming platform diversified its activity by launching an offer of free mobile video games, reserved for its subscribers. Since then, 55 titles have already been released and Netflix recently announced that 40 more will arrive by the end of the year. In addition, 70 are in development at Netflix partners, plus 16 at the streaming service's internal studios.

Voice over to Leanne Loombe, Vice President of External Games at Netflix

For the moment, Netflix games are only available on mobile devices, but the platform claims to want to extend its activity to computers, TVs, and other devices with the Netflix application. However, you will have to be patient. “We are still in the early stages of this stage of our journey, but we are seriously committed to ensuring that games can be available wherever Netflix is available,” said Leanne Loombe - vice president of external games at Netflix - to the Digital Trends site. . We believe Cloud Gaming will help provide easy access to games on any screen. But we want to think carefully about how to build it and offer it to our members. Just like we do with mobile games, we'll take our time."
