Uncharted, sequels on the horizon

Performing at the box office despite lukewarm critical acclaim, the cinema adaptation of the PlayStation Uncharted video game should nevertheless generate new opuses.

Sony Pictures CEO in favor of another Uncharted movie

However, the public was there in theaters, and with a box office of just over $400 million worldwide, the Uncharted “franchise” will have a bright future on the big screen. In any case, this is revealed by an article (paying) from the site The Ankler, after its journalists got their hands on an internal memo from Sony. In addition to now benefiting from franchise status, we learn in particular that the CEO of Sony Pictures -Tom Rothman- is enthusiastic about the idea of a new Uncharted film.

As a reminder, the first Uncharted game on PlayStation 3 helped establish a new era of exclusive games for Sony, while establishing its developer Naughty Dog as an exceptional development studio.
