Rotel DT-6000, 384kHz/32bit USB Dac Audio CD Player

After our presentation of the Rotel RA-6000 stereo amplifier last week, make way for its perfect complement (see photo at the bottom of this news), the Rotel DT-6000 Dac/audio CD player, also bearing the label Diamond Series specially created to celebrate the brand's 60th anniversary.

With aesthetics identical to that of the Rotel RA-6000 amplifier, the Rotel DT-6000 Dac/audio player offers extreme flexibility by allowing you to connect a number of sources of all kinds thanks to its rich connectivity, in addition to the reading CD discs via its built-in player.

Rotel DT-6000, ESS Saber ES9028Pro 384kHz/32bit inside

Signal management is ensured by an ESS Saber ES9028Pro digital-analog converter, 384 kHz/32-bit model equipped with 8 mono channels: 4 of them are dedicated to the right channel, the other 4 to the left channel for processing redundancy of the signal in order to extract all the nuances and subtleties. Indeed, the analog signals of the right and left channels are processed symmetrically, immediately after their conversion by the Dacs, for a better signal/noise ratio and greater dynamics. Still on the equipment menu, custom-developed differential output filters associated with carefully selected components for the most natural and faithful sound reproduction possible.

The assembly is powered by a shielded toroidal-type transformer for perfect stability, combined with high-efficiency Slit-Foil type capacitors for a virtually noise-free current to eliminate, if not drastically reduce, noise and sound distortion. Finally, in the chapter of the tray-loading Audio CD player, there is a spring-loaded floating mechanism and damping material to reduce mechanical noise and, above all, vibrations during playback.

Rotel DT-6000, 384kHz/32bit PCM, 11.2MHz DSD and 384kHz/24bit MQA

The Rotel DT-6000 obviously manages Hi-Res Audio files, up to 192 kHz/24 bits via the optical and coaxial inputs, 384 kHz/32 bits via the asynchronous USB-B port. Likewise, DSD signals up to 11.2 MHz and MQA/MQA Studio signals up to 384 kHz/24 bit. Otherwise, the Rotel DT-6000 benefits from the Roon Tested label (the Roon application therefore supports the product and adapts the quality of the audio stream played to the capabilities of the device).

Rotel DT-6000, connectivity

In addition to the asynchronous USB-B port and the optical and coaxial inputs already mentioned, the connectivity of the Rotel DT-6000 includes a powered USB-A port, an RS-232C socket and two analog outputs, stereo RCA plus stereo XLR.

Immediate availability, in silver or black finish. Indicative price: 2,299 euros.
