Billy Summers: JJ Abrams will -again- produce a Stephen King

JJ Abrams will produce the mini-series adaptation of Stephen King's eponymous novel, Billy Summers, which will be published in France in September 2022.

The official synopsis of the novel, a sort of warrior tale tinged with redemption, states: “Billy Summers in question is a contract killer, and even the best in the business. But it will only do the job if the target is really a bad guy. And now Billy wants to quit but first there's one last move to make. Billy is one of the best snipers in the world, a decorated Iraq War veteran, a Houdini when it comes to disappearing when the job is done. So what could go wrong? ”.

Edward Zwick is back in business

After the series 11.22.63, Castle Rock and Lisey's Story, this will be JJ Abrams' fourth foray into the world of Stephen King. According to Deadline, the project has yet to find a broadcaster. But there's no doubt that it should be rushing at the gate, especially when you know that Edward Zwick (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Blood Diamond) co-wrote the mini-series with Marshall Herskovitz (The Last Samurai, American Assassin) and that he should direct several episodes. For the moment, no name has filtered on the future credits of the series.
