Technics EAH-AZ60, True Wireless LDAC Earphones and Dual Hybrid Active Noise Canceling

The range of True Wireless headphones from the Japanese manufacturer is expanding with the new Technics EAH-AZ60 and Technics EAH-AZ40 models. Presentation of the first named before coming back to the second in a later news.

Little brothers of the Technics EAH-AZ70WE presented last spring in our columns, the True Wireless Technics EAH-AZ70WE headphones have a number of features and equipment in common.

8 mm transducer !!! ! In terms of notable changes, we note an 8 mm biocellulose transducer (against 100 mm and Peek membrane), the Bluetooth 5.2 function and LDAC compatibility. Namely, connection to two suitable peripherals is required, allowing switching from one sound source to another instantly.

Technics EAH-AZ70WE, main specifications For the rest, there is a specific acoustic chamber to better manage the air flow and optimize the frequency response. Among the arguments put forward by the brand, a long-lasting battery suitable for travel, a situation of predilection for the use of these headphones, with a total autonomy announced of 24 hours (headphones + charging / storage box), reduced noise active engaged.

Active noise reduction Dual Hybrid The EAH-AZ60 headphones also benefit from noise reduction technology called Dual Hybrid that its creator does not hesitate to qualify as the most efficient on the market. On the one hand, there are four microphones per earpiece to eliminate both ambient noise outside and inside the ear cups. On the other hand, the Japanese manufacturer claims to have specifically worked on the so-called hybrid active noise reduction technology, with digital noise processing and analog sound filtering, for a particularly effective result.

Call clarity For better call clarity, three microphones per earphone are needed to fight against noise, that of the wind for example, and to preserve the clarity of the voices. A “sound beam” process called JustMyVoice is also in the works for improved speech pickup and the elimination of ambient hubbub.

IPX4 certification and fast charge function Namely, for improved Bluetooth connection, both models use a proprietary antenna design and independent left-right signaling system which helps to improve stability. Last details, an external touch sensor is required (on each headset), the same for IPX4 certification (splash and sweat resistance), fast charging (15 minutes equivalent to 70 minutes of use) and native compatibility Alexa. Voice compatibility for Siri and Google Assistant are also on the program.

Availability of Technics EAH-AZ60 headphones, in black or silver, announced for October. Indicative price: 229 euros.
